Lam's Garden is authentic. I wanted to take my friends to an authentic, cart-pushing, delicious food eating, dim sum restaurant in Orlando and a quick research on Yelp brought me to Lam's Garden.

I got the usual (excuse my attempt at pronouncing these dishes in English letters) "ha gao" and "shumai" because I feel like this is a staple for me when I eat dim sum. Both of these dumplings were packed with flavor. I lightly dipped them in hot oil and it was a perfect blend of spicy and savory. However, I could tell that the shumai, in particular, did not have as much "juice" as it should have. To be fair, the restaurant was slow that day and the shumai had probably been sitting in that cart for a while. If it was fresh, I think the shumai would've been a killer dish. We also got other dishes and those tasted good as well.

The service was amazing. They do speak English and definitely Cantonese and Mandarin. Although my Cantonese is choppy, they understood me well and was able to get the dishes that I wanted to try. They also checked up on us for refills on the water and whether we wanted more food. One of the waitresses offered to get us fresh sesame balls when we asked to get the one on the cart. This made us very happy that she would go out of her way to do that when sesame balls on the cart looked just fine.

Another thing that I did wanted to point out was the smell of cigarettes when we walked in. It was noticeable for the first minute or two but after we got seated the smell was gone. It didn't bother us when we ate but it was definitely noticeable when I walked inside.

Lam's Garden is an authentic dim sum restaurant in Orlando. It was a great try and experience and I would come back here as one of my options in Orlando. Go give it a try yourself!

Came here wanting to try another dim sum place in Orlando since I've only ever been to Ming's Bistro. Lam's Garden is one of the few places that I've heard about that serves dim sum the whole day so I knew I had to check it out and compare.
On a Wednesday afternoon, we were lucky to be seated without any wait and got our order in before the lunch rush came after we arrived. There was a couple of tables filled already soI knew that this place was popular amongst people living in this area. There's plenty of seating in booths or medium and larger tables, I kept on imagining how busy this place gets when they have their a la carte dimsum.
The staff was very helpful in any small requests needed. If your server isn't in sight, there's many other members of their staff walking around that would be more than welcome to help you. Our food came out pretty quick. Everything was fresh and steaming hot.
Overall, the food was okay/good. When comparing it to Ming's, Ming's is definitely better in terms of quality. The dumpling in the shrimp dumplings were a little undercooked which made it quite chewy, and the shui mai was just missing that taste that would usually satisfy my craving.
The service was probably the best part about the experience, but other than that I don't see myself coming back here. I think I will continue my search in finding the best dim sum in Orlando.

We went for dim sum on a pretty busy Sunday afternoon when we found our usual spot had a much longer line than normal. Lam's Garden was so quick to seat and serve us, however, and the staff was very friendly and polite. Everything we chose was hot and flavorful. A few times when we asked about whether or not a certain dish was available, we were told that it currently wasn't, but would be in a few minutes. We were pleasantly surprised when servers delivered the dishes straight to our table rather than making us wait for the carts to make their rounds. The service was excellent!

I do wish we were given some sort of menu with pricing information rather than it being a surprise, but that is my only complaint. The food and service were both very good, and we will be back.

My parents and I have been going to many dim sum places around Orlando ever since I was young and we wanted to try a different dim sum place this certain weekend. Since it has been awhile since we've been to Lam's Garden, we decided to give it another try. From all the dim sum places I have tried, Lam's Garden is okay and not the best.

It was a Sunday morning and it was busy. 90% of the tables were occupied and there was a line to be seated. Luckily, my mom went in first and put our name down while I was trying to find a parking spot - which was kind of hard to find but I ended up just parking further away from the restaurant. We ordered our typical dishes at dim sum - shumai, hargao, fried shrimp balls, etc. I would say half of the dishes we received was cold and not fresh. Prices are okay for the dishes that we got. We did receive welcoming and kind service from our waiters and enjoyed our time at a different dim sum place. However, my parents and I do not see ourselves coming back to have dim sum at Lam's Garden for awhile.

We wanted really great Chinese food and that's what we got - and they deliver! Within 25 minutes we had our food! The stir fry beef with veggies was outstanding and rich in flavor, the pork fried rice is the best in Orlando. Their egg rolls are very fresh, delicious and generous in size. The food was hot when it was delivered - Lams is the place to go for a delicious Chinese meal.
